A stolen car remains part of an ongoing police investigation, after the 2 door Saturn was used by a suspect to force entry into a local business where he allegedly stole in excess of $60,000 worth of property.
On February 6, 2017 at 5:03 am, the Kelowna RCMP were alerted to a report of a commercial alarm, with multiple glass break hits, at Premier Jewellery and Loans located at 1980 Bredin Road in Kelowna. RCMP attended and discovered the business’ store front smashed in from an apparent vehicle. Evidence at the scene allowed investigators to determine the vehicle involved had been reportedly stolen.
The suspect vehicle was located abandoned a short distance from the scene by police, says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
The black Saturn has been seized by investigators to be examined for any forensic evidence.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, believed to be in his mid-20’s, seen wearing a grey hooded sweater, a brown leather jacket, black pants and a black toque with red writing.
