The Kelowna RCMP seek assistance in identifying the victim of an assault

The Kelowna RCMP is looking to identify the victim of a serious assault in order to advance the investigation. The assault took place on Lawrence Ave near Water St, early last Saturday morning.
The Kelowna RCMP are continuing their investigation into a serious assault which took place on Saturday April 1, 2017 at approximately 3:30 am on Lawrence Avenue near Water Street.
Investigators were able to view CCTV footage which depicted the victim and are now seeking to identify the victim who has yet to come forward. The victim may have been near that same intersection, interacting with people and vehicles for some time prior to being assaulted.

The victim is described as an adult male, with dark hair, wearing dark pants, light colour long sleeve shirt and carrying a dark jacket over his shoulder, he was last seen walking north bound on Water Street. Investigators would like to speak to the victim.
The evidence suggests that this person may have suffered injuries to the face and upper body. RCMP investigators have released an image of the victim in hopes of identifying the man.
