Demonstration march may cause traffic delays - police announce

North Vancouver RCMP is advising commuters of possible traffic delays in the Lower Capilano Road area on Thursday, February 22, 2018, as a result of a scheduled demonstration march against Kinder Morgan.

The march is planned to begin at 5:00 pm and end at approximately 7:00 pm.

Demonstrators will depart from the parking lot on the southeast side of Capliano Road and Marine Drive. From there they will walk southbound on Capilano Road, through First Nations land coming out on Welch Street, turning east and continuing up to the Phillips Road overpass. They will proceed across the overpass and arrive at the front gates of the Kinder Morgan facility.

Police will be in attendance to ensure public safety and are advising commuters to consider alternate travel routes, if possible.
