Fatal Collision between Cyclist and Dump-truck

On the morning of June 1, 2018, North Vancouver RCMP responded to a fatal collision between a cyclist and a dump-truck.

The collision occurred just after 7am at the intersection of St Andrews Avenue and East second street in North Vancouver. RCMP responded to the scene with BC Paramedics and City Fire Department. The cyclist was pronounced dead on scene.

The cyclist has been identified as a 54 year old North Vancouver man. His family has been notified.

The driver of the dump-truck remained on scene. North Vancouver Detachment traffic section and the Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service are investigating. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
